Most of our customers are between two front doors. The sale went through before the purchase did, the builders need the back rooms empty for six weeks, or a flat is being let while you work away. Household storage is for all of those, and it is what most of our 640 units are used for.

Sizing it without guessing

Start with the estimator on the sizes page. Count the big things — beds, sofas, wardrobes, white goods — and roughly how many boxes. It works out the packed volume, allows a quarter of the space for the gaps you can’t avoid, and points you to the smallest unit that holds it. If you are between two sizes, take the larger one: a unit you can walk into is a unit you can find things in.

As a rule of thumb, a one-bedroom flat fits in 50 sq ft, a two-bed in 75 and a three-bed house, garden furniture included, in 100.

Moving in

Units are on the ground floor or along the mezzanine, reached by a goods lift big enough for a sofa on its end. The loading bay is covered, so a wet Saturday does not mean wet boxes. Borrow as many trolleys as you like; they live by the lift doors.

While you’re away

Every corridor is on camera, recorded for 30 days. The building is alarmed and monitored out of hours, and the gate only opens to a PIN that belongs to you. We never hold a key to your unit and never go in unless you ask us to.
